Three Board of Trustee positions (4-year terms) are up for election in the Geneva Public Library District on Tuesday, April 4, 2016. The “Candidates Guide” includes information on how to file for candidacy, as well as all required forms. Election packets are also available at the Customer Service Desk on the first floor of the Library at 127 James Street, Geneva. Library hours are 9am to 9pm Monday through Thursday, 9am to 6pm Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday, and 12pm to 5pm Sunday. Petitions may be circulated beginning Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Please note that the Library cannot advise potential candidates and information contained here or on the website does not constitute legal advice. The Library does not track receipt of any candidate packets that are picked up during the petition process.

Filing Dates: Monday, December 12, 2016 through Monday, December 19, 2016

Filing Location: Geneva Public Library, 127 James Street, 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday

File with Library Director:

    1. Statement of Candidacy, Nonpartisan SBE Form P-1A (notarized)

    2. Nominating petition sheets, SBE Form P-4 with at least 50 signatures (numbered, notarized, and fastened).

    3. Receipt from County for filing Statement of Economic Interest

    4. Optional Loyalty Oath, SBE Form P-1C (notarized)
