Geneva Public Library District (GPLD) seeks a proactive, collaborative individual to join our team as a part-time Administrative Assistant. We pride ourselves on connecting with our community to discover, inspire and grow and delivering service at the level of WOW! Under the general supervision of the Deputy Director, contributes to the daily operations of the Administration Office in a professional and efficient manner. Performs generally accepted clerical duties with emphasis on payroll and human resources administration. Contributes to creating a positive environment and enthusiasm about the library.

Qualifications for Position:

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; the ability to move from task to task
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel

Starting salary is $17.04 per hour. This position receives Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) benefits and pro-rated paid time off (vacation, holiday & sick time).
