JULY ArtistS of the Month: Rudy Viereckl and Bee Uchiek
Rudy is a lifelong resident of the Fox Valley area. During camping trips every summer he learned to appreciate the beauty of nature, and how we are the stewards of our environment. With a long telephoto lens, portable photo blind, and a healthy dose of patience, he is captures images that he hopes will inspire you. His work is displayed in our lower level Art Gallery.
Bee attended the American Academy of Art and participated in a week-long retreat as part of the University of Illinois Artist Program. After a hiatus from drawing, she came back to art in the last 10 years. Her work has been displayed in the Geneva Arts Festival as an Emerging Artist and she participated in a Pop-up Gallery in St. Charles. She has previously displayed at the Geneva Library and the Limestone Café in Batavia. She is inclined to draw geometric shapes as it gives structure to a chaotic world, and she likes to see how the shapes and colors play against each other. Her work is displayed around our fireplace on the second floor.
